Below is a list of tours that we have run in the past. Please note, access to each of the sights may vary depending upon conditions and closures at the time, so please get in contact with us for any confirmations or special requests.

Kabul City Tour (2 days)

Your guide will take you around Kabul’s many historic and modern sights in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. We will visit:

·        OMAR landmine museum:very detailed museum set up by a private donor holding armaments collected from previous conflicts. Also important as it is used to host school groups to educate on the dangers of unexploded ordinance

·        Shah-e DohShamshira mosque: One of the most unique mosques in the world, built by King Amanullah in the early 20th century in a European style

·        BalaHissar: The old fort of Kabul atop the Kuh-e-Sherdarwaza Mountain, played an important part in the history of Afghanistan

·        The British cemetery: The final resting place of the British following their unsuccessful invasion in the 19th century, as well as other foreigners to Afghanistan

·        Babur’s gardens: the final resting place of the first Mughal emperor, situated within a beautiful park on the hills of Bibi Mahru

·        Kabul museum: Details the history of Afghanistan from pre-Islamic times to the present, across many of its provinces

·        Chicken street: The shopping street in Kabul, famous for carpets and antiques, and formerly a favourite of foreigners passing through the hippie trail in the 1970s

·        Ka Faroshi Bird market: holds many exotic birds and other animals

Panjshir (1 day)

A 3 hour drive from Kabul, to visit one of the most beautiful places in Afghanistan. The Panjshir valley is dominated by the Panjshir River and holds the mausoleum of Ahmad Shah Massoud

Bamiyan (3 days)

A flight to Bamiyan, and home of the Hazara people. It is one of the most peaceful places in Afghanistan.

The caves of Bamiyan are a UNESCO world heritage site. Contained within this network in the hillside, monasteries and Buddhist carvings can be found dating back to the 3rd century AD and pre-dating Islam in Afghanistan. While the giant Buddha statues can no longer be found , many archaeological remains of Afghanistan’s Buddhist history can be found.
