Under direct supervision of the Engineering Analyst, the mechanic will perform the following matters relating to Armored and soft skin vehicles maintenance and repair for local and international organization in Afghanistan Armored and soft skin Vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
Summary of key functions:
• Responsible to undertake armored vehicle maintenance and repair of different customers armored vehicles in the field in accordance with armored and soft skin vehicles manufacturer’s standards and schedules.
• Ensure that all relevant safety procedures have been followed when repairing and fixing armored vehicles or the spare parts.
• Conduct armored and soft skin vehicles inspection on local and international custoures armored and soft skin vehicles assigned to various units and provide advice for probable action assisting with identifying diagnosing and notifying various mechanical faults.
• Prepare list of spare parts that are required for armored vehicle repair/ maintenance (Including spare part number and relevant details) to ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Provide routine servicing of Kabul based armored and soft skin vehicles (and other DS, as required).
• Maintain maintenance schedule and appropriate date of armored and soft skin vehicles serviced for easy reference.
• Ensure full service, stock replacement and road worthiness of the workshop.
• Assist with collection, delivery and initial receipt inspection of all new armored and soft skin vehicles purchased for different local and international organization in Afghanistan.
• Perform any other tasks as required.
